Got my first house working from midnight to 6am, 6 days a week - sometimes I wish I had still worked for the Vichy collaborators (long story), but I did PC repair, plumbing and ditch digging then too.
The commute might have been okay, but no sunlight totally sucks! That was the last time I owned a landline phone too :|
Not hte landline!!! noooooooooooooooooooo lol im on my 1 hour lee way before heading out to my other job, sunday's the only day i get an hour before i start. and what do i do? go on the interwebs.
Damn man, you and Nick and your screwed up sleeping patterns! Last time I slept that long, I had some seriously messed up dreams.
Know what you mean about being home. My next home's gonna just be a large shed :| It's below freezing outside now. 6 months later it'll be over 100 degrees - who wants to pay to control temperature for space you don't need or are around to use anyway? And why pay school and property taxes if you ain't got kids or use anything but the roads in town?
I'm ranting, but that's what living on the East coast does to ya. Middlemen just suck the joy out of this part of the world :|
My next home is coming soon, guessing around April time if i can swing it. not sure yet, my sleeping pattern is outta whack because working third shift does that to ya. (Third shift into my second job which is first) I'm Tryin to find a decent paying day job, but its harder then it looks. If anything i would like to get any day job, get the hell away from third shift period. Work all day be able to sleep at night, there is one thing i have learned from third shift, humans are not meant to be nocturnal.
I wish houses didn't cost bucks to operate, the reason i never felt like going home is because i dont have a pet anymore that i have to take care of, whats keeping me here? Nothing. but a bed, in which i proceeded to sleep for the past 20 hours straight. wjhioch was rather odd. i have NEVER slept that long before.
I had an Oldsmobile and a Mitsubishi that pretended to be a Dodge, but I never owned a Chrysler anything. Got an old K car? I had a Chevy Celebrity with an Iron Duke 2.5 liter 4 cyl, and 4 doors... just an undersized caprice ..
mitsubishi that pretended to be a dodge? lol I actually almost did get a K car.. its a concorde, had just under 170k miles on it at the moment, but it was cheap.. i consider it my temp car until im able to afford a new one. and by new its new to me.
Funny, I felt the same way about the X Box when it came out.. from Mexico. But I blame the engineers and chip suppliers for the red ring of death, not the Mexicans... My last console was a PS2.
I never had the original Xbox. although if i ever find a first gen original Xbox, i'm buying that. those things are great if you know what your doing. Arcade games ftw! My current consoles consists of both an Xbox and a ps3.. i didn't really need any of them, but you know what money does... burns a hole. just ask Obama. Also, my cars a Chrysler if you were curious. lol
gator Pilates?...and one, and two, and hoooold
Fuck, I had read what to do somewhere else and I thought I wrote it down :(
Before PC's, I just used to shut off and/or keep electronics away from my mic. Sometimes bad connectors and especially adapters cause all kind of s/noise to bleed in.
Some computers (usually windows volume control) have a toggle for microphones on the line-in, either a mic-boost or a built-in filter... gotta dig for it.
I havent recorded anything for a long while due to my busy nature(damn myself for trying to become a responsible adult) i shall record something in the near future... maybe.
Hmm, can't dump the pdf's into the NG dump... I can find a link on the subject. The old FEMA schematic (gasifier) is a good place to start.
I'll be on the lookout in my notes on how-to remove the BG noise - what software have you been using?
Sorry I haven't pestered your post before... but you can spread yourself too thin easily online...
I'd like to try and fix your only audio submission, then I'll tell you (if it works) how I did it :)
How far off the grid are you? Got electricity from a line? I found out how to heat dried wood to 8-9 hundred degrees and using the hydrogen gas released to power a generator.
Pester away... fix as in remove the white noise? haha i am actually recording a new version of that song. You can by all means go for that though.
I like that idea of the wood powering a generator.

That's what I thought at first Steve, but when I put a track of the white noise in it failed to do anything :l.
l: I'll just buy some expensive recording software... wait.. i have no money.
11/23/12
wrong........the gator pirates counted.......
Oh no! Not the gator pirates!!!
11/23/12
Yeah, I got audacity too... IDK if you record a second or two of the BG noise then use the filter, or ..
Once i finally do record it officially ill definitely look into the white/BG noise reduction stuff.
11/22/12
Even if that were a published statistic there's no real way to measure the rate of people dying accurately in real time.
:l.

For that recording i used audacity.
ill look into it.
